    Rechargeable Q-Link products (Life Optimizer, etc.) are only designed to be utilized with approved rechargeable NIMH batteries with the below specifications. Over time, rechargeable batteries become prone to degradation and failure, the primary reason why rechargeable Q-Link products experience operational issues. For safe, proper and optimal performance, and before deciding to return rechargeable Q-Link products for repair, first replace old rechargeable batteries with new, high quality rechargeable batteries with the below specifications, then RETEST your product.

    New rechargeable batteries often provide a quick fix and are readily available at big box, electronic supply stores and online. Please refer to the following specifications when procuring new rechargeable batteries:

    • AA Batteries: NIMH ONLY with a maximum of 1500 mAh
    • 9V Batteries: NIMH ONLY with a maximum of 200 mAh

    Products returned to us for repair must include a detailed explanation of the problems(s) being experienced. Products returned to us for repair, without a detailed explanation provided, cannot enter the repair queue and will be returned to the customer. Non-warranty product repairs are covered for a period of 30 Days.

    Please use the electronic product repair form available from the bottom of this page to request your RMA number as well as to provide all necessary information regarding your product repair request(s).

    Q-Link provides repair services for eligible rechargeable Q-Link products, including the Life Optimizer. For units not covered under an eligible warranty, estimated repair costs (subject to change without notice) are as follows:

    Minimum bench/inspection fee: USD $69.00
    Case replacement (upper): USD $105.00
    Case replacement (lower): USD $105.00
    Case replacement (upper/lower): USD $130.00
    Replacement battery cover: USD $22.00
    Case faceplate (plastic around the switch): USD $22.00
    Replace faulty power switch: USD $95.00
    Repairs to circuitry, power and electric systems begin at USD: $80.00

    Even if your product is within an eligible warranty period, repairs may not be covered if the issues are found related to improper use or abuse. Depending on the severity of the issue, age of unit, replacement component availability and other factors, some units may not be repairable. Product repair turnaround can take between 3-8 weeks.

    • If your product issue is not covered by an eligible warranty, and is repairable, (and unless you request to receive a quote prior to repair), your unit will be repaired and you will be billed upon completion. Transit costs will be added to your final invoice which will be sent via email, which is payable online. Your repaired product will ship to you upon payment.
    • If your product issue is not covered by an eligible warranty, and is not repairable, it can be shipped back to you for a $30.00 diagnosis and shipping and handling fee. Alternatively, it can be disposed of at your request.
    • If your product issue is covered by an eligible warranty, and is repairable, there will be no cost associated with your repairs. To be eligible for repairs covered under warranty, you must be the original buyer/end-user and provide proof/date of original purchase.

    To help streamline and improve our process for handling Q-Link product repair requests, we have changed our system to require the assignment of an RMA number prior to any Q-Link product being returned to us. We are not responsible for products returned to us for repair without an RMA number, and shipments without an RMA number may be returned to sender. Non-warranty product repairs are covered for a period of 30 Days.

    To facilitate the issuance of an RMA Number, we require completion of our Product Repair Form (which can be completed and submitted online), which is accessible through the link provided at the bottom of this page. Once we receive your submission, an RMA Number will be emailed to you within 1-3 business days. This RMA Number must then be specified on your shipment to us as directed.
